The Denton County Homelessness Barriers Fund promotes housing stability through self-sufficiency for families facing housing crises in Denton County.

 

  • $25 helps someone experiencing homelessness obtain critical documents for housing (photo ID, birth certificate, social security card)
  • $50 provides required tools and uniforms for a new job for a person staying in shelter
  • $100 supplies basic household items for a family rapidly rehoused after a homeless crisis
  • $250 ends a person's homelessness with a bus ticket home to reconnect with family
  • $500 furnishes a family’s entire new apartment through partnerships with local furniture banks
  • $1000 covers a security deposit and first month’s rent for a survivor of domestic violence and her children moving into a new apartment away from their abuser
