Zackary Gentry recently graduated from the UNT/TWU Joint Masters of Social Work program. He joined United Way of Denton County Rapid Re-Housing Team in April 2022 after interning in homelessness prevention and resource development. His social work experience also includes two semesters at a mental health hospital setting, where he supported the main therapist in providing psychoeducation and therapeutic intervention to patients stepping down from inpatient care for mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. Before going into social work, Zack worked in student development and higher education for several years, in three different states. He also has experience in the private sector in sales & merchandising. Zackary is passionate about advocating for others, and in his spare time enjoys creating art and spending time with his husband and their cats.
