United Way of Denton County To Pour $2.4M Into Denton County Community

Board targets strategic solutions to myriad of interconnected challenges with grants to Partner Agencies and funding to Collective Impact Initiatives; more dollars required to meet region’s escalating needs

The United Way of Denton County (UWDC) Board of Directors approved the organization’s 2019-2020 operating budget at their March meeting with over $2.4 million allocated to continuing the dual strategy of leading Collective Impact Initiatives and supporting Partner Agencies to serve vulnerable populations in a growing Denton County.

2018 HUMANITARIAN AWARDEE ANNOUNCED

The Honorable Bobbie Mitchell to be sixth recipient of Dr. Bettye Myers Humanitarian Award  
United Way of Denton County recently revealed that the Honorable Bobbie Mitchell will be the recipient of the 2018 Dr. Bettye Myers Humanitarian Award to be presented at the organization’s seventh annual UNITED Tribute gala celebration on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
