Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... United Way of Fairfax County has helped one of my close friends experiencing homelessness get back on his feet - watching that happen made me want to help United Way of Denton County make that happen for as many people here as possible.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... In my daily work I strive to help our students and families. Having the opportunity to partner with United Way to ensure this work is supported is very important to me.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Having an opportunity to help a great organization continue to provide assistance to our community.

I LIVE UNITED because ... We must come together to support the mission of United Way which in turn supports our community. By doing so, we are a part of something much bigger and our impact is much greater.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... Equipping our students and families with what they need to experience success is what I am about. Each child deserves an opportunity for success, and I want to be a part of that.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Having the opportunity to be a part of something that spreads so much good and assistance throughout our county. I'm excited to rally our colleagues, friends and family in support of the United Tribute!

I LIVE UNITED because ... In my daily work, I see firsthand the needs and struggles of many students and families around the county. To be able to bridge the gap between the needs of families and success for them is a passion that I strive for daily, and I know it takes a team of people to achieve this goal!

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... Our United States military is composed of men and women who have signed up to serve our country in an ultimate selfless act. Being a mother of a veteran, I can say from experience that It is hard to know what to do in order to show proper gratitude. I am impressed with any organization willing to do their part on helping them transition in the civilian world

My favorite song to dance to is ... I am most excited about learning something new and meeting new people. I know I am lucky to be able to do this and I am looking forward to the bonds we will create with the other partners

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... My grandfathers, father, and son are all veterans, plus UWDC is a great organization

I LIVE UNITED because ... I've been given an opportunity to have a voice in the community, and I feel my purpose is to positively impact as many people as possible, UNITED, in a way that helps, comforts, and promotes a healthy community

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... I believe the family unit , in many cases, is in crisis. I would like to work to see all kids are given a chance to grow and succeed.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... The opportunity to be a part of something that may bring joy and laughter to others

I LIVE UNITED because ... My life has been blessed. Through my working career I have had the opportunity to touch many lives. Sometimes a smile or hug can brighten a day. As a volunteer and supporter of many non profit organizations I have tried to provide that smile or hug , the ear to listen and the shoulder to cry on

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... As a veteran who served and chooses to continue to serve through the American Legion, I am aware of the many needs, physical - mental - and sociological, that veterans experience. I want to help in any way possible

I LIVE UNITED because ... Throughout my career, and now in retirement, my goal was to find ways to make life better for those less fortunate. We all have a responsibility to give of ourselves and encourage all those we know to do the same. Our community is enhanced when we realize that many hands make for a lighter load

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... I realize we are very blessed as a family, and many children lack a strong mother or father figure or sometimes both. Anything I can do to get families the help they need is very gratifying.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... I went through a divorce due to domestic violence and I think it is so important to help each other at the root of our pain which starts mentally. Everyone deserves a chance to be helped and I hope we can continue talking about important matters like mental health openly so that we can make impactful change happen

Economic opportunity is a right, and it’s on us to ensure all Denton County residents are resilient and successful

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... When we are able to improve our mental health, it allows for us to fully function so much better within all of our gifts, talents, and abilities. And when we do that, together, we make our community a better place to live...UNITED!

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Getting to an a REAL ACTUAL CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE, and doing it for the benefit of others. Awesome!

I LIVE UNITED because ... As a whole, we all desire the same things in life: love, good health, family, serving our neighbors. When making the choice to come together and LIVE UNITED, those goals may become a reality much sooner
