Amy Terrell

 

Amy joined United Way of Denton County as a grant writer in May 2024, bringing a strong background in community service. With degrees from Texas A&M in English and the University of North Texas with a Masters in Library Science, she possesses the research and communication skills vital for securing funding.

Evelyn Sutton

 

Evelyn joined the staff of United Way of Denton County in December of 2023. She is currently working on a Master of Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies from the University of North Texas and her areas of study were Business, Marketing, and Development and Family Studies. Evelyn has a diverse background in coaching, training, child development, and portfolio management. When not championing for equity you can find her in the woods, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying art of any kind.  

 

Samantha Shead

Samantha joined the staff of United Way of Denton County in February of 2025. She is currently working on a Master of Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies from the University of North Texas, where her areas of study included Psychology, Sociology, and Women and Gender studies. Samantha has a diverse background serving in the United States Navy and Reserves for the past 19 years as a Quartermaster, is a certified Life Coach and avid swimmer.  Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, cruising, and baking.

Katherine Quinones

 

Katherine Quinones joined the team in May 2024 and comes with over 10 years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, and relationship building. Katherine grew up in Denton and is a proud alumna of Texas Woman's University where she was a first-generation college student. She went on to hold roles in higher-ed advancement as well as nonprofit development and fundraising. Katherine is deeply passionate about the reciprocal nature of building relationships between constituents and the causes they care about.

Sadi Fesenbek, LMSW

 

Sadi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Woman’s University and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Texas A&M University-Commerce. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she interned with United Way of Denton County, where she gained valuable experience working with residents in need and learning nonprofit operations.
