Women UNITED's literacy initiative focuses on recruiting and placing community volunteers in schools all across Denton County to promote literacy.
Early childhood literacy is not just about reading, it is crucial for cognitive and social development and future academic success.
There are two ways you can support this effort:
- Volunteer to Read at local elementary schools and/or early education centers
- Purchase early reading books to donate to libraries, book fairs, and children.
