The Inaugural installment of the AmplifyHER Series: Expand Your Influence at Work & Beyond was electric! Hosted at the TWU - Jane Nelson Institute for Women's Leadership, the event brought together leaders from across the region to bridge professional growth with local community impact.

6th Annual Women UNITED Purses with a Purpose

In February 2026, Women UNITED harnessed their collective power with local businesses to collect Purses with a Purpose for single moms experiencing housing insecurity in Denton County. This is the 6th Annual Purses With a Purpose project of Women UNITED. Over 80 bags were collected, stuffed, and given to single mothers!
A Very Merry Paint Party!
With direction by local artist Nanci Kimmey, Women UNITED members and friends got creative together in the United Way Community Room to create their own holiday artwork and raise money for UWDC.
2025 Sip-N-Shop Networking Event - Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Women UNITED members and guests came out to Denton County Friends of the Family Upscale Resale in October for some networking and shopping to support women and children in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness.
2025 Back To School!
Women UNITED members and community members collected back to school supplies and volunteered at back to school events for Lewisville ISD, Denton ISD, and Northwest ISD.
2025 Women UNITED Spring Mingle - Volunteer Appreciation
Women UNITED members and guests enjoyed cocktails and sweets as we gathered for our Spring Mingle to thank our volunteers for making an incredible impact this past year.
Women UNITED Kendra Scott Fundraiser
The Kendra Scott Shop with a Purpose Event May 2nd - 4th gave 20% of purchases back to United Way of Denton County. Melinda Galler and Michelle Cree pictured.
Free Book Fair at DreamSpark Academy

In April 2025, Women UNITED distributed nearly 200 new books to families with children ages infant -5th grade with a free book fair at DreamSpark Academy. Each child was able to select 2 books to add to their home library. Women UNITED members Mary Jones, Melinda Galler, and Wandaliz Turner are pictured with some of their favorite children's books.
