Kristin Jones joined United Way of Denton County in January 2017 to lead fundraising efforts and advance the organization’s impact in the community. With a nonprofit leadership career spanning more than 15 years, Kristin has held development roles at respected organizations including the March of Dimes in Dallas, TX; Bartlesville Regional United Way in OK; United Way of Greater Kansas City in MO; and the American Heart Association in Overland Park, KS.

Kristin holds a Master of Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of Kansas.

Community service is more than Kristin’s profession—it’s her passion. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and is a past member of the Texas Health Leadership Council. Kristin is a 2023 graduate of Leadership Denton and a 2018 graduate of Leadership Lewisville. She is also the immediate past President of the Greater Frisco Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she has held several leadership positions.

In 2023, Kristin was honored by Good Morning America as “Mother of the Year,” a national recognition celebrating her unwavering dedication to her children, family, and community. In her honor, Good Morning America awarded a $10,000 donation to the two causes closest to her heart: United Way of Denton County and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
