VITA Trainings

Help Denton County families maximize their federal tax refund by becoming a VITA volunteer. Currently, United Way of Denton County's VITA Program is offering three volunteer roles. Volunteers can choose to serve as tax prep volunteers, intake volunteers, or as a volunteer translator.

To become a tax prep volunteer, you need to complete one training session that lasts four days. Each day includes three hours of training, totaling 12 hours, which also count as volunteer hours. To become an intake volunteer or volunteer translator, you only need to complete the first class of a training session.
