When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Supporting the mission of the organization and challenging myself to do something I would previously have never considered.

UNITED is the WAY™ to... I believe we were sent to make a difference in the lives of others in big and small ways. We are called as neighbors to lift one another up. Plus, I’m building my legacy by serving a life of giving and volunteering so my grandchildren will grow up in a beautiful world of United People.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you?... This initiative is important to me because I believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Supporting families, schools, and the community to help kids soar is something I care deeply about. I want to be part of giving young people the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.

My favorite song to dance to is... My favorite song to dance to right now is whatever Reese puts on. Lately, we’ve been having living room dance parties to Golden from K-pop Demon Hunters. It’s impossible not to get up and move when it’s playing!

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Stepping out of my comfort zone, having fun on the dance floor, and being part of such an inspiring event that gives back to our community.

The United Way of Denton County provides the community with a variety of opportunities to give back, from volunteering for events to advocating for the cause or providing financial support. Regardless of the method, United, we can strengthen the needs of our local community.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you?... I’ve always loved how dance brings people together — it’s joyful, expressive, and a reminder that life is meant to be celebrated. Being part of Dancing with our Stars is not only a fun challenge for me personally, but also a way to give back to our community. Supporting United Way through this event allows me to combine something I love with something that truly matters — helping families, children, and neighbors thrive. I’m honored to participate and excited to dance for a cause that makes such a meaningful impact.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you?... As a primary care physician, I am acutely aware of the food insecurity that exists in our city… especially among our senior adults. The basis of health starts with a healthy diet and regular exercise.  If an individual can’t get food (much less healthy food), then their health deteriorates and  chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease will worsen.  It is a problem and I am here to raise awareness and elicit change.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Helping raise money for such a worthy cause while having fun.

UNITED is the WAY™ to... I live United because I want to make a difference in my community. I want to see people become the healthiest versions of themselves. I can’t change the world, but I can try to make change in my sphere of influence. Small changes do add up and UNITED we do make a difference.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Being apart of a United Way event and all the good they do throughout Denton County.

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... Growing up, I remember daydreaming about traveling to faraway places like New York, Paris or Texas. I am grateful for the opportunities that I was given that allowed me to fulfil these dreams. And I would like to see all young people have a chance to dream, to strive, and to achieve.

My favorite song to dance to is... I have danced to so many, but probably Beautiful Marial of My Soul from Mambo Kings is my favorite.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Helping the Denton community and spreading the love of ballroom dancing.
