Your donations enable us to partner with Denton County ISDs for Back to School Fairs every year, so students start the year ready to learn.
With your help, we joined other community partners to support fairs at Denton, Northwest, and Lewisville ISDs.
Northwest ISD
The back-to-school celebration at Northwest ISD distributed 1,335 backpacks loaded with supplies, 92 vision screenings, 70 haircuts, 65 sports physicals, 40 immunizations, and 30 dental screenings. We love being part of a community that rallies around our kids to succeed in school and life!
Thanks to our community for marking this weekend's Northwest ISD Back-to-School Fair possible! Local organizations donated supplies, volunteers provided time and the United Way of Denton County was there to help run the entire event, providing support to nearly 800 students. pic.twitter.com/ar5eXNZEtV

Denton Back-to-School Fair
In Denton, 44% of Denton ISD students qualify for free and reduced lunch with a household income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. In addition to giving these students a new backpack and school supplies, this event equips the parents with resources their children need to have a confident and healthy start to the school year.
The second annual Denton Back-to-School Fair equipped over 4,077 students with backpacks and supplies, a 32% increase over last year! Held at the Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center, this cooperative event also provided 275 haircuts, 515 vision screenings, 182 hearing screenings, and a community resource fair with 37 vendors.
