Upcoming Project
Help us collect new or gently used backpacks, tissue boxes, and headphones for Denton & Lewisville ISD's Back-to-School drives! This is a community-wide effort to help as many Denton County children as possible get ready for the upcoming school year! Drop off your items at United Way of Denton County's office or the Lewisville Public Library (ask for Carolyn Booker)! The deadline for donations is 6/27.

Women Community Leaders Come Together for 2023 Homelessness Data Dashboard Findings
Women UNITED Members were able to listen to UWDC's Homelessness Data Management Specialist, Leia Atkinson, as she discussed the collaborative work in Denton County to address homelessness and the data found in 2023's PIT (Person in Time) Count, where a census of the unhoused population is taken every year. This was a great lunch for members to hear the needs of the community and what the non-profit sector in our community is doing to address these needs.
Local Women Unite to Collect Purses with a Purpose for Single Moms
Local women harnessed their collective power with local businesses to collect Purses with a Purpose for single moms experiencing housing insecurity in Denton County. This is the third annual Purses With a Purpose project of Women UNITED. Over 60 bags were collected and stuffed...
Women UNITED Members Assist Local Homeless Shelter Transition into New Facility!
Members of Women UNITED helped pack Our Daily Bread's Clothing and Hygiene closets while they moved facilities across town. Afterwards, these women were able to get a sneak peak of the new building prior to their grand opening.
