Amanda joined the United Way of Denton County staff in January 2020. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. Within her 14 year tenure as case manager in the Human Services field, Amanda was responsible for ensuring family preservation by providing counseling for families and patients with substance use disorders. Along with her history in case management, Amanda has also run various programs such as housing choice vouchers and family self-sufficiency in the state of Kentucky. Amanda joins the UWDC staff with over 6 years of technical support and training. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys writing, crafting, and spending quality time with her three dogs.
