Point In Time Count surveyMaking Sure Everyone in #DenCoCounts

A record number of volunteers blanketed a record number of Denton County zip codes for this year’s Point-In-Time Count to make people Point In Time statsexperiencing homelessness in our community count.  The information collected in the federally mandated census helps our community identify and understand the extent and nature of homelessness. Results from the count will be curated with data procured on our Homelessness Data Dashboard and be presented in the spring.

Project Blueprint Graduates 2019

Training Nonprofit Leaders

Building a strong nonprofit community begins with building strong volunteer board leadership. That’s the objective of Project Blueprint Board Leadership Training. Twenty-one community volunteers from across Denton County graduated from the course and received recognition from our board of directors at the January board meeting, held at the Lewisville ISD Administrative Center.

DBL Gives UWDC a Technology Boost

A big thank you to the Denton Benefit League for helping us build our technology capacity with a grant to fund eight HP laptops. These laptops will replace ineffective, aging desktop computers to provide a much-needed technology upgrade while they afford a new level of mobility for our staff as we expand our reach to all of Denton County.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

UNITED Tribute

Dancers & Awardees Shine at UNITED Tribute

A record 1,100 guests joined us to fill the grand ballroom at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center for a sold-out celebration for the Denton County community. In addition to recognizing several organizations and individuals for their dedication to improving and transforming lives in Denton County, we announced $2.3 million raised by our community throughout the year, and crowned two community dancers as Champions of “Dancing with Our Stars.” Read more and see fabulous photos from this year's Tribute >>>
