Megan joined the United Way of Denton staff in September 2020 and is now a Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager. Rapid Re-Housing is a program that assists people who are experiencing literal homelessness with short-term rental assistance and services that are specific to the needs of the person or family. Her role allows her to support community members of Denton County who are experiencing literal homelessness with locating housing and providing case management after they enter the Coordinated Entry system. She previously held the position as the Homelessness Initiatives Coordinator with United Way of Denton County and she also worked with homelessness services in Hagerstown, MD. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in College Student Development and Administration from Shepherd University in West Virginia. Megan is passionate about providing and improving community resources to help make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring.
