19th Annual “People Helping People” Golf Tournament benefiting United Way of Denton County

Denton, TX (June 22, 2009) – United Way of Denton County will be hosting the 19th Annual “People Helping People” Golf Tournament on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Denton Country Club. Registration and lunch begin at 11:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon.
This marks the third year that the tournament will be co-chaired by Denny Aldridge, of James Wood Autopark and Paul Chandler, of Meridian Bank of Texas.
“This is one of the oldest golf tournaments in the Denton area and it has really grown with continued support from all the area car dealers,” Chandler said. “It’s the personality of all the tournament participants that make this a unique event -- the can-do attitude everybody has. Everybody does a great job and has done a great job year in and year out. It’s a great tradition.”
The field is limited to the first 128 players, with an entry fees ranging from of $150 per player, $325 for a hole sponsorship with player, $600 for a team of four, and $775 for a hole sponsorship with four players. Entry fees include lunch, beverages, 19th Hole Awards, and over $2,500 in prizes.
This year’s tournament sponsors include James Wood Autopark, Bill Utter Ford, Huffines Auto, Classic of Denton and North Texas Nissan.
