Peterbilt Motors Company Lends Its Support to United Way of Denton County

Denton, Texas (December 15, 2009): Employees of Peterbilt Motors Company, a division of PACCAR, have once again proved their commitment to advancing the common good in Denton County by raising $151,022 during their workplace campaign for United Way of Denton County.
Peterbilt representatives also presented United Way officials with a corporate contribution of $110,000 yesterday at the company’s plant in Denton.
Bill Jackson, PACCAR vice-president and Peterbilt general manager presented Peterbilt’s corporate donation to Caleb O’Rear, United Way campaign cabinet chair, Mary Ann McDuff, United Way board chair, Lilia Bynum, United Way president and CEO, and Mindy Bruce, United Way resource development director.
“With the decline in the economy, Peterbilt recognizes the tremendous need many in our community have particularly this year for the services provided by the United Way.  Peterbilt employees realize the importance of giving back and have done so in a significant way this year,” Jackson said.  “We are proud to be Denton County’s single largest contributor and believe that community support is one of our most important responsibilities.”
Bynum added that United Way of Denton County remains grateful for Peterbilt’s leadership and the generosity if its employees.
“Peterbilt continues to be our greatest supporter and we are so thankful that they have committed to supporting the community again this year, despite the trying economy,” she said. “We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership that will benefit the community at large.”
