
Program Internship* -- Term(s): Spring, Summer, Fall – Dependent on Program Chosen
Job Description:
The following programs are open to student internships: Healthy Communities (year round), Financial Stability (Fall/Spring) Emergency/Disaster Coordination (year round), VITA (Spring), ESL teaching assistant (Fall/ Spring), Financial Administrative Desktop Coordinator (Shadow the CFO and create a desktop manual for each of the associated responsibilities for the purposes of cross-training all staff.)
Though many specific duties will vary depending on the program, ALL programs require the following:
- Learn the material on the chosen program well enough to speak on it and teach it to others.
- Attend coalition/community meetings and coordinate efforts with community partners.
- Evaluate current effectiveness and recommend improvements to the program based upon community research.
- Implement and track outcome measurements for the program and prepare report that can be used in communication to the board of directors, community funders and in grant writing.
- Provide office/administrative support for chosen program.
- Other duties as assigned
General Requirements:
Adhere to business casual/business professional dress code as appropriate. Must be available to work some evening and weekend hours. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret written information. Must pay attention to detail, be deadline-oriented, organized and self-motivated. Experience with and knowledge of computer operation including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and the internet.
