A Message from the Campaign Chair

Let’s Get This 2007 Campaign Started!

Thank you for calling me to serve as your 2007 Campaign Chair for United Way of Denton County, Inc.  An additional thank you goes to the United Way Board of Directors for having the confidence in me to formulate a campaign blueprint with a team approach.  A final thank you goes to Board Chair, Marty Rivers and Pacesetter Chair, Todd Price, for encouraging me to step outside the box and plan, process, and push in order to achieve this year’s Campaign goal.

I invite you to give meaning and shape to your own life by making an initial and/or increased commitment to those individuals in need of assistance. You are also invited to contribute your resources, talents, skills, and abilities as a member of Team United Way. Join us as we chant the 2007 Campaign theme: DARE to Make a Difference; Determined Actions Resulting in Excellence .  If you DARE to Care; DARE to Share; DARE to Change; and DARE to make a Difference, you will make a lasting impression on yourself, your neighbors, and on the Greater Denton County landscape.

The 2007 Campaign Cabinet and I enthusiastically accept this United Way DARE and we look forward to rallying the troops at the Pacesetter Breakfast and the Campaign Kick-Off Luncheon.  And when the campaign is over, the festivities conclude at the Volunteer Appreciation Victory Celebration.  But we won’t be able to celebrate victory without YOU at every step of the way: the United Way.

More than 250 volunteers work on the campaign every year in various capacities. The group is comprised of employee campaign coordinators of Pacesetter companies, the campaign cabinet, division chairs, Leaders on Loan, the marketing committee, a speaker's bureau, the special events group and many others who all have a part to play.
