The Census is the count taken every 10 years of everyone living in the United States. It is required by the U.S. Constitution. There are 10 simple questions on the census questionnaire.
WHY SHOULD I FILL OUT THE FORM?

The Census is used to send money to your neighborhood to:
- improve roads

- distribute vaccines to clinics and hospitals
- build new schools
- provide adult education and job training
- provide nutrition programs to mothers, children in public schools and the elderly
The Census is:
- used to distribute over 400 billion dollars every year across the U.S.
- easy to fill out and takes only minutes to complete
- used to redraw districts for national, state and local elected leaders
IMPORTANT
Our federal government uses the Census information to fairly distribute billions of dollars to the individual states and local communities for: hospitals, schools, transportation and social services
SAFE
By law, the Census Bureau CANNOT share your answers with anyone, including federal, state, and local agencies, such as immigration agencies like ICE. The Census only counts how many people are living in the United States.
